The School for Advanced Studies (SAS) prepares students to be successful in Honors, Advanced Placement, and college courses. Students may receive college credit by successfully completing Advanced Placement courses and earning a score of 3 or higher on College Board exams.

SAS builds on the vision of Taft High School for your children:

Taft Charter High School will serve our diverse student community by preparing for the 21st century through rigorous classes providing college and career readiness.

The SAS program provides academic challenges for students ready to perform at the highest level of learning. Our goal is to prepare students to become respected leaders in their communities and intelligent, productive members of society.

Please note that as an affiliated charter school, we will not be included in the unified enrollment application for SAS programs.  If you do not live within the attendance boundaries of Taft CHS, you will now need to apply for the Affiliated Charter Application through the unified enrollment site by November 15, 2024..  If you do not apply by the deadline, the late application window will open in February 2025.  If Taft CHS is your resident school, then you do not need to apply for the Affiliated Charter Application.

SAS APPLICATIONS FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR - WILL BE AVAILABLE IN MARCH 2025
