Attention 11th and 12th Grade Students!

 

Taft’s Lunch Pass Incentive Program is available to eligible juniors and seniors who meet the program criteria.  The Lunch Pass is designed to recognize students who demonstrate success in the 4 A’s: Academics, Attendance, Attitude, and Approval.

• No Ds or Fails on most recent previous report card (10- or 20-week Report Cards only)

• No more than 18 period absences within the previous 10-week reporting period (regardless of excused or unexcused.)
• All lunch time reflections must be served and cleared prior to issuing the pass
• Having more than 3 tardies, truancies, or unverified absences to Period 5 will result in revocation of the Lunch Pass
• Absence for approved school activities will not be counted toward the 18 period absences. (i.e. field trips, athletic games, assemblies and etc.)

• No more than 3 U’s total on most recent report card (10- or 20-week Report Cards only)
• Approval of Dean’s Office

• Parent permission in writing to participate in the program is required.

• Complete the paper application. (Incomplete applications will not be accepted.)
• A parent/guardian must sign the application.  If application is found to be forged, Lunch Pass may be revoked for the remainder of your high school tenure. 

• No more than 3 tardies, truancies or unverified absences for period 5.
• Students' eligibility will be reviewed every 10 weeks, and new stickers will be issued.
• The lunch pass is non-transferable, and a replacement pass will not be issued in case of loss, theft, or damage.
• Students may not use their pass to purchase food for other students.
• Approved applicants must adhere to the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Taft Charter High School Student Code of Conduct.

• If at any time a student fails to maintain the qualification and/or follow the Los Angeles Unified School District and/or Taft Charter High School Student Code of Conduct, his/her lunch pass privileges will be revoked.
• Upon notification of a revocation, the sticker will be removed from student ID immediately. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary actions
• Revocation accompanied by disciplinary action will follow if anyone is found with a counterfeit lunch pass and/or cooperating in the counterfeiting of lunch passes.
