About Mrs. Godsey

As someone who loves reading and running, it was an easy decision for me to become an English teacher and track coach. I attended CSUN as a student-athlete and studied English while competing in Cross Country and Track. After obtaining my Bachelor's degree and teaching credential, I taught at Sutter Middle School for 8 years. During this time, I also earned my Master's in English Education. When an opportunity opened up to teach and coach at Taft Charter HS, I eagerly took it. I taught English in the Humanitas program for another 18 years and coached for 12 years. In the past 2 years, I have transitioned into the library as the Teacher Librarian.

Above all, I am a proud wife and a blessed mother of two college student-athletes. My happy place is when I go to the beach or the mountains with my family.
