About Me
Hello! My name is Kelly Diggins, and I teach Drawing AB and Intro to Art AB here at Taft Charter High School.
Originally from the Bay Area, I graduated from San Francisco State University in 2014 with a BA in Studio Art with an Emphasis in Ceramics. After I graduated, in order to have a career in the arts, I worked as a professional cake decorator for several years. I was lucky enough to then transition into my dream job of being a full-time ceramics teacher at an independent studio in Los Angeles. I accumulated years of experience teaching both kids and adults how to successfully create ceramics projects and improve in their artistic goals. Along with that, I also worked as a production potter and independent artist, learning about many different pathways to becoming a professional artist. I look forward to a long and fruitful career of helping budding artists pursue their dreams.
Currently I am a University Intern at California State University Northridge working on completing my single-subject credential.
