PSAT/NMSQT
Traditional information about the PSAT/NMSQT:
This year the PSAT will be held on October 23, 2024.
Attention 9th-11th graders! You are scheduled to take the Digital PSAT on Thursday, October 23rd at Taft Charter HS! LAUSD will pay for all 9th-11th grade students to take the PSAT. For the academic year, 2024-25, all tenth and eleventh graders will take the PSAT/NMSQT as well making them eligible for scholarships and grants while preparing them for college admissions testing. All ninth graders will take the PSAT 8/9. To be able to access the PSAT, you need to ensure that you have a Taft issued Chromebook.
- If you do not, it is imperative that you pick up your Chromebook from the ITD Center in B207 before Friday, October 4, 2024 during your lunch period.
Because these exams are operated by the College Board, students do not automatically receive testing accommodations or supports.
- If you have a student with disabilities entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade next school year, please submit the College Board Consent Form for Accommodations Request Form and return form to your Counselor if you wish to request new or revised College Board testing accommodations.
Things to Know:
- October 23, 2024 is a Minimum Day Dismissal at 1:13 PM
- All testing locations will be posted at the main entrance and Santa Rita gate.
- Students are advised to bring their own snacks and water. Water bottles must be label-free.
